
HVAC Service Manager
Harris Plumbing, Heating, Air, & Electrical is a growing, full-service residential plumbing, heating, air and electrical company located in NJ, PA and DE. Locally-owned and operated, our team provides homeowners in the Tri-State with 5-star residential home services, all delivered through a proven, customer-focused service system.
Harris is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure exceptional service delivery to residential and commercial customers. This role is responsible for managing HVAC service technicians, overseeing daily operations, maintaining customer satisfaction, and driving department performance.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a solid background in HVAC systems, service operations, and team management.
Manage and supervise HVAC service technicians and dispatch operations
Schedule and coordinate daily service calls and maintenance work
Monitor technician performance, productivity, and quality of work
Provide training, mentoring, and technical support to service staff
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and HVAC regulations
Handle customer escalations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Review service reports, invoices, and job costing for accuracy
Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing for parts and equipment
Track department KPIs including revenue, service agreements, and callback rates
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of service staff
5+ years of HVAC industry experience
2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred
Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
EPA Certification required
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with HVAC service software (ServiceTitan or similar) preferred
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
